The integrated system created designated, protected pathways across the roof, keeping maintenance crews clear of leading-edge hazards and rooftop obstacles throughout the project.
Kee Safety began with an initial consultation and a full site evaluation and rooftop assessment of AMD’s Austin facility, then custom-designed a solution built specifically for the site: a 51-foot engineered Kee Platform catwalk, Kee Guard® rooftop guardrails, and Kee Step® crossovers. After proposal development and AMD’s approval, installation was coordinated with contractor Texas Storm.
The completed installation created designated access routes, enhanced worker protection, improved maintenance efficiency, and demonstrated the value of a fully integrated rooftop safety solution.
The completed solution delivers enhanced rooftop safety through passive fall protection with Kee Guard®, improved access to critical rooftop equipment across the facility, and safe, engineered navigation over rooftop obstacles via Kee Step® crossovers. It also increases maintenance efficiency with a designated, protected path for routine service and inspection work, all through a fully custom-engineered, durable, low-maintenance safety system built specifically for AMD’s Austin facility.
