Pilot Travel Centers LLC, doing business as Pilot Flying J, is a North American chain of truck stops in the United States and Canada. The company is based in Knoxville, Tennessee. The company is owned by Berkshire Hathaway. The company operates truck stops under the Pilot Travel Centers, Flying J Travel Plaza, ONE9 Fuel Network, and Mr. Fuel brands.
Currently, Pilot Flying J is the largest purveyor of over-the-road diesel fuel in the United States. Pilot Flying J also is known as the largest Travel Center chain in the country with over 750 locations under the Pilot, Flying J, & Mr. Fuel brands.

Benefits to the Customer

Rooftop units located on a steep slope standing seam metal roof required a walkway and stairs for maintenance access. The Kee Walk system provided a versatile solution custom-engineered to the customer’s requirements.
Kee Walk was chosen over competitive products based on the non-penetrating design, and ease of installation using S-5-U clamps.
Guardrails were integrated into the system, attaching directly to the platform framing versus attaching separately to the roof as offered by competitors.
This location had no permanent means of access to the roof, as part of this project a straight-climb ladder was installed leading directly to the Kee Walk access, protected by a self-closing gate.
The entire project took less than two days, with minimal disruption to the retail customers visiting the store.

The turnkey solution was installed quickly with virtually no interruption to their daily business.

Customized Safety Solution

Pilot Travel Centers required a solution for safe rooftop access for maintenance tasks at their Higginsville, MO location.
The Kee Walk system provided a customizable, safe, and easy rooftop access solution, eliminating the need for fall arrest personal protective equipment (PPE) or harnesses, enhancing safety and efficiency for maintenance operations.
The non-penetrating design avoids future problems with roof leaks and keeps their roof warranty intact.
Kee Walk offers the added benefit of being able to be modified in the future as new equipment is added or relocated.
