4 Steps to Reduce Risk on the Rooftop
Review all work procedures, practices, and location to design-out unnecessary hazards
1. Elimination of the risk is always the first and foremost solution to fall prevention
2. Install a Collective Fall Protection System which protected everyone collectively - without training
3. Implement a Personal Fall Restraint System which requires training to use and continued inspection to meet code
4. The least favorable: A Personal Fall Arrest Product - allows for a fall, but slows or "arrests" the fall - preventing contact with the ground
